My CORE Story: From Our Co-Chair Jason Khan
CORE was the first conference that I attended in first year; my first real experience into what business school events would be like. Since that time, Schulich has gained so many more great clubs and fantastic events. But to this day, CORE remains unique in my mind for the very same qualities that made me love the experience in first year.
Having no idea what exactly I wanted to specialize in, CORE had representatives from so many different industries. I had the chance to interact with representatives from accounting, marketing, finance, technology and more. CORE was like a one-stop shop for all different kinds of reps, which showed me so many different career paths I could take!
On top of that, the keynotes and workshops at CORE helped me learn about the unique ways CSR is implemented in different industries. From impact investing to social marketing, each industry had its own way of embedding CSR into their operations.
